Volcanic Basin Petroleum Research AS (VBPR) (Associate Partner) is a Norwegian research and consulting company located in the Oslo Science Park. The company’s focus is on integrated geological and geophysical projects, including seabed sampling and 3D high-resolution seismic methods. VBPR has a strong collaboration with leading universities and research institutes in Norway and worldwide, and has participated in the Physics of Geological Processes (PGP) and Centre for Earth Evolution and Dynamics (CEED) centers of excellence at the UoO (2003 – 2013 and 2013 – 2023). The company has been involved in EU projects like HERMES (Hot-Spot Ecosystems Research on the Margins of European Seas), and more than ten research council funded projects in Norway on themes like gas migration, volcanic basin processes, and seismic equipment development.
