Late Weichselian ice-sheet dynamics and deglaciation history of the northern and eastern Svalbard margins

36 month ESR

Two secondments hosted by UoT for 4 months in total. These will occur in the summer of year one and in the late autumn of year two, providing hands-on experience on the seismic processing software and a dataset obtained through the industry partnership from a key area in the eastern or northern Svalbard. The fellow will become aquainted with the seismic data from the central and southern Barents Sea, will process his / her own data and develop a consistent deglaciation model unifying the data obtained by him / her with that available from the adjacent areas of the Barents Sea. Experience in seismic data analysis using the facilities at the University of Tromso will be an excellent complement for his / her training at UNIS.
