Glacimarine sedimentary processes and products at fjord-terminating (tidewater) glacier margins

Two secondment periods hosted by UNIS for 4 months in total, during the years one and two of the project. The Fellow will be given hands-on training and ship-board experience through working from a ship in a polar glacimarine setting followed by initial description and analysis of sediment cores and geophysical data. The Fellow will work on the data that he / she will collect during the fieldwork. Such field experience in a high Arctic glacimarine setting is very difficult to come by and provides an outstanding opportunity for the Fellow in terms of his/her training and overall research experience.
