Late Quaternary glaciation of the continental shelf offshore of NW Ireland

Two secondments hosted by Ulster University for 4 months in total, one in year 2 of the project and one in year 3. The purpose of the secondments will be twofold: (1) to receive training in the analysis and interpretation of geophysical data from the northwest Irish margin from the Coleraine supervisors so as to provide a wider acoustic and geomorphological context for interpretation the sediment cores which form the main basis for the PhD project. This will be done in the first 3 month secondment block in year 2. (2) To receive guidance in sediment core analysis and interpretation during the later stages of the project in year 3 immediately prior to write up of the PhD.
