Deglacial history of the NW sector of the last British-Irish Ice Sheet

36 month ESR

Two secondment periods hosted by UDUR for 3 months in total, in years 2 and 3 of the project. The first secondment will allow the fellow to receive training in glacial sedimentology and the analysis and interpretation of glacial stratigraphy and geomorphology. The Fellow will also have access to the state of the art laboratory facilities in UDUR throughout. Secondment 2 is to receive guidance in sediment core analysis and interpretation during the later stages of the project immediately prior to write up of the PhD.
